The perspective of having a “bald” head brings an immense anxiety that fast submerges the patient in a deep depression rendering a sense of helplessness.

 Hair designer Rodolfo Valentin, winner of the National Grand Design Award, and the International Hair coloring techniques award, has applied his unlimited knowledge of hair to create the most perfect Hair Cranial Prostheses in the world.

Before his mother “Sofia” died of breast cancer, he promised her he would help every human suffering from this awful disease.  Having lost her hair to intense Chemotherapy treatments, Sofia was devastated about her hair loss and her physical mutilation. Feeling humiliated and helpless, Rodolfo did his first prostheses for his mother. Seeing how much it improved her attitude and helped her to get through this phase of her disease, Rodolfo realized how immensely important it was!

In his mother’s honor, he founded the “Sofia’s Hair for Health Foundation”, with no outside help. He is absorbing the cost of giving one free prostheses to a candidate whose total household income is lower than 30k a year every two months, six in total in a full year calendar every month of February, April, June, August, October and December during 2007.
With your aid, Rodolfo Valentin expects to make this program available to anyone who is eligible and to see many more smiling faces while improving their health and enhancing their appearance.
